How to Port-In My Number?

Bringing your existing mobile number to FlexiFone is simple. All you need is a PAC code (Porting Authorisation Code) from your current provider, and the process can be completed online in just a few steps.

⚠️ Firstly, it is important to note that FlexiFone’s service is not a local UK service but a Roaming SIM in the UK. Before you port-in, please be reminded that the Voice/SMS service is just an add-on to our Data-Only plans intended for occasional use, and you must NOT port-in your number with the intention to use it as your primary SIM (where people would regularly call or text you, or where you would regularly make phone calls/SMS on a daily basis).

Also, there are certain limitations that you should be aware of, which are described on the article below:

Unlike a regular UK SIM, on Multi-Network SIMs, number porting requests take approximately 10 working days as multiple operators are involved in this process.

🔑 Steps to Port-In Your Number

  1. Log in to your FlexiFone account.

  2. Go to Manage SIM.

  3. Select Port-In Number.

  4. Enter your PAC code and your current mobile number.

  5. Submit the request.

⏳ What Happens Next?

  • Your number will be transferred to FlexiFone in approximately 10 working days.

  • During the final stages of the port-in process, you will temporarily lose access to your number on your old SIM for 24-48 hours or more in exceptional cases.

  • You’ll receive SMS updates from us once your number has been successfully transferred.

  • In the exceptional case where the port-in fails (due to an invalid or expired PAC code, delays from your current operator in releasing your number, or any other reason), the 10 working day period will reset, and it will take a further 10 working days to complete the request. This may also lead to you having no access to your number for a few days as your previously provided may have cancelled your service but FlexiFone would not have received the ported-in number; hence we advise you to fill in the form very carefully and be prepared to lose access to your number for a few days.

⚠️ Warning (issued 10/03/2026): If in the past you have ported your number into another Multi-Network Mobile Service provider like AnywhereSIM, it may take longer than 10 working days to port-in your number. During this time, you will not have access to this number.

You may also need to contact your previous Multi-Network SIM provider to cease this number from their systems and only then will we be able to port your number to your FlexiFone SIM.

This happens because your previous Multi-Network SIM provider has not ceased your number on their systems even though you had ported-out your number. This prevents other Multi-Network SIM providers using the same core network to port-in your number.

📌 Porting-Out Your Number

To port-out your number, email us at [email protected] and we will process your request within 5-10 working days. Port-outs are often much quicker than port-ins however holiday period may lead to delays.

To remind you again, this is not a local UK SIM but a Roaming SIM in the UK. Hence, it is important that you understand that Ofcom regulations relating to the timeframe for porting requests do not apply to this product line and you should refer to your Customer Contract (Terms & Conditions) for further details.
