Network Blocking with FlexiFone: How It Works

πŸ’‘ Why Use Network Blocking?

If your Primary SIM is from a particular carrier (for example, O2), you can block that network on your FlexiFone SIM. This ensures your FlexiFone SIM will only connect to other available networks, filling in coverage gaps when your Primary SIM doesn’t have signal.

For instance, if your Primary SIM is with Vodafone, you can block Vodafone on your FlexiFone SIM so it only switches between EE, O2, and Three.

πŸ›  How to Set Up Network Blocking

  1. Log in to your FlexiFone account at account.flexifone.co.uk or open the FlexiFone App.

  2. Go to Manage SIM > Network Blocking.

  3. Select the network you want to block (e.g., if your Primary SIM is on Vodafone, select Vodafone).

  4. Save your settings.

  5. You will receive confirmation messages once the network has been successfully blocked.

  6. Important: For the changes to take effect, please manually select a different network on your device (if already connected to the blocked network), then re-enable automatic network selection and restart your device. This is required to trigger a new network registration, and your network blocking request may fail if this step is not performed.

πŸ’‘ Tips

  • This step is important if you wish to use FlexiFone as a backup SIM and make the most of it.

  • It is important to note that Network Blocking only blocks future network registrations (meaning if you block O2 and you're currently connected to O2, you will need to manually connect to another UK network. Post this, your device will no longer connect onto O2).
