Your FlexiFone SIM's IP address depends on which SIM you have, V2 or V3. This article breaks down the difference in plain terms, so you know exactly what to expect.
No Fixed or Dedicated IPs All FlexiFone SIMs (V2 and V3) use a CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT) dynamic IP address. We do not currently offer dedicated or fixed public IP addresses on any of our SIM plans.

Standard V2 SIMs — Voice, SMS & Data (Default for All Customers)
Our latest FlexiFone V2 SIMs use an offshore UK IP address based in the Isle of Man.
For the vast majority of customers, this works perfectly fine and provides normal internet access without any issues.

Please note:
V2 includes Voice, SMS and Data, and is available to all customers by default.
This is a CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT) dynamic IP, not a dedicated or fixed public IP address. The IP may change periodically.
Some websites or services will detect the connection as being outside mainland UK. To resolve this, you can use any VPN to access restricted content, for example, certain banking, streaming, or security-sensitive services may require a mainland UK IP address, for which any free or paid VPN app can be used.
A Note on Our Previous V2 Data-Only SIM
If you're currently using a V2 Data-Only SIM, it will continue to work as normal, no action is needed on your part. Like the standard V2 SIM, it uses an Isle of Man (offshore UK) IP address, not a mainland UK IP. As of September 2026, our V3 Data-Only SIM is now available to all customers, offering a mainland UK IP and wider roaming coverage. If you'd like to move to V3, you can request a free upgrade by contacting our support team.
V3 Data-Only SIMs (Local UK IP)
We also offer V3 Data-Only SIMs with a mainland UK IP range routed through London, V3 has been used by our enterprise customers for some time, and as of September 2026 is now available to all customers, personal and business requiring UK mainland geolocation services.

V3 is now available to all customers on Data-Only plans, whether personal or business. For any questions, please reach out to our support team.
Important:
V3 SIM is Data-Only and no Voice/SMS capability. It also supports Roaming in additional destinations.
The difference between V2 and V3 is that V3 gives you a mainland UK IP and wider roaming coverage, while V2 includes Voice and SMS. If you need calls and texts, V2 is the right choice. If you only need data and want a UK mainland IP, V3 is the better fit.
Customers having a Voice/SMS plan will not be offered any upgrades, as V3 is Data-Only.
