At FlexiFone, different SIM versions may use different IP address ranges depending on the service type and network configuration. This article explains the differences between our standard V2 SIMs and Enterprise/Data-Only V3 SIMs.
Standard V2 SIMs (Default for All Customers)
Our latest FlexiFone V2 SIMs use an offshore UK IP address based in the Isle of Man.
For the vast majority of customers, this works perfectly fine and provides normal internet access without any issues.
Some websites or services will detect the connection as being outside mainland UK. To resolve this, you can use any VPN to access restricted content.
For eg. certain banking, streaming, or security-sensitive services may require a mainland UK IP address for which any free or paid VPN app can be used.
